Hoarseness was the most common presenting symptom. The most frequently occurring histologic subtype was biphasic (59.2%). The average age at the time of HNSS diagnosis was 33.5 years. Head and neck synovial sarcoma (SS) amounts to 6.8% of all total body SS, with high incidences in the hypopharynx, postpharyngeal region and the parapharyngeal space.
